Internship Summary

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with issues and trends in CSR and ESG (environment, social and governance) reporting.
• Become familiar with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Scopes 1, 2, and 3 Emissions, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
• Create or work with existing internal framework to capture company data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business area representatives to obtain needed information.
• Ensure the receipt, accuracy and timeliness of requested data and documents.
• Research LCA and EPD-related webpages for comparable companies.
• Effectively use company data within the existing carbon tool to generate Environmental Product Declarations and determine carbon footprints based on life-cycle assessments.
• Help design and facilitate updates to internal and external websites.
• Aid in drafting Environmental and Sustainability-related policies and solicit and respond to feedback.
• Present synopsis of internship responsibilities and achievements to Bonnell Aluminum leadership at the conclusion of internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled university student in a relevant major.
• Ability to communicate and present to senior leadership.
• Excellent research, oral and written communication, and analytic skills.
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Highly self-motivated, strong leadership skills and the ability to think creatively.
• Excellent Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability and environmental topics including life cycle assessment and carbon footprint.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Available to work in Newnan, GA.
