About the role

The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion. The individual will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable. This individual will also utilize Phlebotomy skills to grow within the company. The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner. The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The impact of this individual will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and answer questions or concerns with care and compassion.
• Maintain the integrity of the waiting area.
• Assist with breaks when other Phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Utilize Phlebotomy skills to support patient flow and personal growth.
• Explain scheduled procedures to patients, ensuring they know what to expect.
• Demonstrate excellence in customer care, focusing on process skills, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Show willingness to learn new skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required – no exceptions.
• Phlebotomy experience required (intern/externship acceptable to learn the basics).
• Minimum of 1–2 years of client‑facing customer service experience (e.g., Retail, Home Health Aide).
• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check‑ins via self‑service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room to cover breaks.
• Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties confidently, following established practices and procedures.
• High level of customer service experience skills – critical to the role.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
• Primarily a Lobby Greeter position: help patients check in at the kiosk, make them comfortable while waiting, and fill in for breaks or staffing shortages.
• Candidates must be within a 20‑25 minute commute window to ensure reliable travel to/from the site.
• If currently a student, the school schedule must not conflict with the shift schedule.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with rotational Saturdays.
