ENTRY Phlebotomist
About the role
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The ENTRY PSR I helps with patient care by greeting them upon arrival and answering any questions or concerns with care and compassion, while also maintaining the integrity of the waiting area and assisting with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable. The individual will be trained on phlebotomy skills to grow within the company, and will have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect regarding scheduled procedures in a safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care, focusing on process skills, sensitivity to confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information. Under the direction of the area supervisor, the role includes performing daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment, maintaining required records and documentation, demonstrating organizational commitment, promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public, and showing a willingness to learn new skills. Once phlebotomy skills are obtained, the PSR I will perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
