Entry-level Wastewater Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated entry-level engineer to join our growing Wastewater business in our Rye Brook, NY office. This position offers hands-on experience with wastewater collection systems, infrastructure assessment, condition evaluation, and rehabilitation projects serving communities throughout Westchester County and the surrounding region. You will be involved with project work from your first day, working side-by-side with experienced engineers and scientists to help clients address their water and environmental challenges. A strong field presence is an important part of this role.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field investigations, data collection, and condition assessments of wastewater collection system infrastructure.
• Review CCTV inspection data, field reports, utility records, and asset information.
• Support the planning, design, rehabilitation, and construction oversight of wastewater collection and treatment projects.
• Assist with data analysis, technical evaluations, and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with project team members, municipal clients, contractors, and operations staff.
• Serve as an integral member of project teams, working with staff of all levels under the supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in civil, environmental, wastewater, or related engineering fields.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Interest in hands-on field work supporting wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Westchester County and the surrounding region.
• Excellent computer, verbal, and written skills required.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain EIT certification preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD or GIS software is a plus.

Pay

$80,000 - $95,000 a year. Final exempt salary or non-exempt hourly pay will be dependent on experience level as well as considering a percentage-based geographic differential based on where the final candidate will be working.
