Responsibilities
- Operate and configure test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power meters to validate and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems.
- Perform detailed PCB inspection, identifying defects, component issues, and assembly problems to support reliable product performance.
- Execute precise soldering and de-soldering work on electronic components and assemblies while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Read, interpret, and apply information from schematics and fabrication drawings to perform testing, verification, and diagnostics.
- Support test engineering and test development activities by following established procedures and contributing feedback to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Document test results clearly and accurately, and communicate findings to engineering and cross-functional teams in both written and verbal form.
- Organize and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and manage multiple testing activities simultaneously.
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently when required, maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
- Apply creative problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes of issues and propose effective technical solutions.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of testing, documentation, and equipment handling.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and power meters.
- Proficiency in PCB inspection, including identifying component placement issues, solder defects, and other assembly-related problems.
- Strong soldering and de-soldering skills for through-hole and surface-mount components.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with MacOS for test execution, documentation, and general engineering workflows.
- Good written communication skills for documenting test procedures and results.
- Good oral communication skills for discussing technical findings with engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet project schedules.
- Flexible and positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Educational background with an AA in electronics or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
- Experience in test engineering or electrical engineering environments, particularly in validation and test development.
- Exposure to electrical test processes and methodologies for product validation and verification.
- Familiarity with test development activities, including creating or improving test setups and procedures.
- Background or coursework in electrical engineering concepts relevant to circuit analysis, measurements, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to adapt to evolving test requirements and technologies while maintaining consistent quality of work.
