Entry Level - Facilities Command Center Technician

About the role

As an Operations Center Technician, you'll help maintain business continuity across Epic's global campuses by monitoring real-time alerts, managing access and security systems, and overseeing building operations from our Facilities Command Center. You'll identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data, coordinating emergency responses when disruptions such as natural disasters or power outages occur. Working closely with internal teams and emergency services, you'll ensure a safe environment and help restore normal operations quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor real-time alerts and manage access and security systems
  • Oversee building operations from the Facilities Command Center
  • Identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data
  • Cook up to date, restaurant-quality meals for staff
  • Participate in sabbaticals of up to four weeks after five years of employment
  • Work in a high-pressure, real-time environment
  • Work second and third shifts, as well as weekends

Requirements

  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Experience or interest in security operations, emergency response, or a related high-volume field
  • Openness to working second and third shifts, as well as weekends

Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (relocation assistance available)
