Entry Level - Facilities Command Center Technician

About the role

You'll help maintain business continuity across Epic's global campuses by monitoring real-time alerts, managing access and security systems, and overseeing building operations from our Facilities Command Center. You'll identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data, coordinating emergency responses when disruptions such as natural disasters or power outages occur. Working closely with internal teams and emergency services, you'll ensure a safe environment and help restore normal operations quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain business continuity by monitoring real-time alerts and managing access and security systems.
  • Oversee building operations from the Facilities Command Center.
  • Identify and respond to issues using video feeds and system data.
  • Cook up to 50 meals per week for your fellow employees.
  • Work in a high-pressure, real-time environment.
  • Coordinate emergency responses during natural disasters or power outages.
  • Work closely with internal teams and emergency services to ensure a safe environment.
  • Help restore normal operations quickly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Experience or interest in security operations, emergency response, or a related high-volume field.
  • Openness to 2nd and 3rd shift, as well as weekend days.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (relocation assistance available).

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Second and third shifts, as well as weekends.
