Entry Level Environmental Engineer
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, no summarizing away detail. Remove boilerplate, navigation, legal, EEO, etc. Also remove duplicated lines and application instructions. Must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Must not create Pay/Schedule/Benefits unless posting actually states them. The posting includes Salary Range: location A: $64,000 - $87,000. So we can include Pay section with that. Benefits: they list benefits. So include Benefits section. Schedule: not mentioned explicitly, so omit Schedule. About the role: we have introductory paragraph describing role. Could be "About the role". Responsibilities: list. Requirements: they have "Preferred Requirements" and also "Experience", "Education". Qualifications maybe combine? The instruction: use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We need to decide which sections to include based on content. We have: - About the role: intro paragraph(s) describing role, culture, etc. - Responsibilities: bullet list. - Requirements: maybe "Preferred Requirements" and also "Experience", "Education". Could combine into Requirements section. - Qualifications: maybe "Skills And Competencies" and "Skills". Could be Skills section. - Benefits: list. - Pay: salary range. We should not duplicate content. Let's extract substantive content. Intro paragraph: "Brown and Caldwell, a national environmental engineering firm, has an exciting opportunity for an entry level engineer to work on design infrastructure projects for municipal and private sector clients in our Las Vegas, NV office. You will provide civil/mechanical engineering support for a variety of projects which may include planning, evaluation, design and construction related activities for wastewater, water and storm water conveyance systems, pumping systems and related facilities. When you join Brown and Caldwell you will enjoy a unique and welcoming culture and we are proud that many of our employees have been with us a decade or more. You will find that we offer a non-hierarchical, collaborative, and supportive environment, allowing you to do your best work. You will be trusted to do the right thing by our project managers and external clients and given the flexibility to manage your own schedule to achieve this. The work we do is interesting, challenging and wide-ranging in nature, and so is our client base." That's about the role. Responsibilities list: bullet points after "Responsibilities". Let's capture each line: - Perform technical analyses and support the identification of potential solutions to sustainable water and wastewater management. - Prepare and review detailed reports pertaining to Environmental Engineering. - Plan and design effective environmental protection systems to safeguard and enhance public and ecosystem health. - Prepare comprehensive, facility, and strategic resource management plans or similar - Analyze scientific data and conduct quality control checks to provide plans and recommendations that conform to environmental regulations - Provide technical support for environmental projects. Areas of technical support could include modeling of wastewater and drinking water treatment and delivery systems, vendor outreach to support planning and design, technical analysis to support permitting and regulatory approvals, among others. - Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. We need to keep each as
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. For experience, it's not a list but could be prose. We'll keep as
. Education: "A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field is required." Then "Learn More About Our Work" list of topics: that seems like navigation; maybe we should remove as boilerplate? It's not a list of duties/requirements/benefits; it's more like internal links. Likely considered boilerplate/navigation; we should remove. Then Salary Range: we have that. Benefits and Other Compensation: list. Then About Brown And Caldwell: description of company; maybe we could include as "About the company" but not in prescribed headings. Could be part of About the role? But we already have About the role. The instruction: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it. The "About Brown And Caldwell" is specific content about the company; but not among the prescribed headings. Could we treat as "About the role"? It's more about company. Might be okay to include as a separate section like "About the company" but not in list. The instruction says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says use those for those sections. It might be okay to add other headings if needed, but better to stick to those. The company description could be placed under About the role? But About the role already has intro about role and culture. Could add more about company there. However, we must preserve ALL substantive information; we cannot omit company description. So we need to include it somewhere. Perhaps we can add a section "About the company" using
About the company. The instruction didn't forbid other headings, just gave examples. It says "Use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." That implies we should use those headings for those sections, but we could also use other headings if needed. Safer to include as "About the company" heading. But we must not repeat job title as heading. That's fine. We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers. We must remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. We need to remove the EEO statements at end: "This position is subject to a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test. Notice to Third Party Agencies: ... Brown and Caldwell is proud to be an EEO/AAP Employer...." Those are boilerplate/legal; remove. Also remove "Learn More About Our Work" list (maybe considered navigation). Remove. Also remove "Click here to see our full list of benefits." (application instruction). Remove. Also remove "You can view which BC location applies to you here." (maybe navigation). Remove. Also remove "If you have any questions, please speak with your Recruiter." (application instruction). Remove. Also remove "For more information, visit www.brownandcaldwell.com" (maybe navigation). Remove. Now compile. We'll produce HTML:
