We are seeking a dedicated and professional Health Care Appointment Scheduler Specialist to join the world-renowned team at Cleveland Clinic. This is a full-time position with the flexibility of working either day or night shifts. This role is open to candidates residing in Ohio or Pennsylvania, United States. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience from the very first interaction.
Responsibilities
- Professionally manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments across various clinical specialities.
- Accurately capture and update patient demographic, insurance, and medical information in our electronic record systems.
- Provide patients with essential information regarding their appointments, including preparation instructions, clinic locations, and necessary documentation.
- Liaise effectively with clinical staff and different departments to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Address patient enquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts with empathy, patience, and a commitment to service excellence.
- Maintain strict adherence to data protection and patient confidentiality regulations.
- Utilise multiple IT systems simultaneously to manage patient information and scheduling requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, call centre, or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and compassionate telephone manner.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and the ability to learn new software and scheduling platforms quickly.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
