Entry Level BESS Technician

Core Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
- Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
- Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Core Experience
- 1+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is preferred.
- 1+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
- A commitment to safety and attention to detail with the ability to recognize potential issues and provide safe solutions.
- Post-secondary education or Technical school is preferred.
- Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to meet Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) internal and external requirements is required.
Physical/Work Environment
- Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license for at least a year.
- Work possible rotating shifts (100% travel is required for this position).
- Prolong standing and working in ergonomic challenging positions.
- Varying climates based upon locations.
Compensation
- Base Pay Range: $22 USD - $25 USD
