About the Role

We are hiring for multiple manufacturing and production positions in aerospace. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to discuss specific roles they are interested in and qualified for. Positions are open at CPP Syracuse, located in Chittenango, NY, with openings on a variety of shifts. Training is provided—all we ask is that you come with a team-player spirit and willingness to learn.

Candidates offered employment are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background study prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, cleaning, sorting, resizing, and weighing virgin wax to prepare for the injection and assembly process.
  • Weighing and preparing slurry mixtures for the creation of ceramic molds.
  • Building and deconstructing crucibles (containers used to melt metals in a furnace, usually made of ceramic materials).
  • Inspecting and preparing molds for melted alloys to be poured into.
  • Using state-of-the-art automation robots to assemble molds and prepare them for the casting process.
  • Using NDT technology to X-ray each part to ensure no internal defects are present.
  • Operating various equipment, such as computers, robots, metal shears, injection mold machines, hydraulic presses, plasma torches, grinders, cut-off saws, cranes, and forklifts.
  • Collaborating in a team environment, multitasking, and providing guidance to colleagues.
  • Adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience required (training provided), but prior manufacturing or mechanical experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift license is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents, as well as speak effectively and interact with team members, engineers, and leadership.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and use basic gages and measuring devices.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reliability, willingness to work overtime as needed, and commitment to working at our Chittenango, NY facility.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Physical effort includes lifting, pulling, reaching, manipulating, carrying, pushing, or shoveling.
  • Repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.

Pay

$20.14 - $27.00 per hour, with a $2/hour shift differential for 2nd shift. Additional shift differentials for 3rd and weekend shifts.

Schedule

Full-time, 8-hour 2nd shift openings available.
