Enterprise Product Manager
Blacksmith builds infrastructure to run CI workloads at scale. Our first product accelerates GitHub Actions by operating a global fleet of bare-metal machines, replacing generic cloud VMs. Today we orchestrate tens of millions of Firecracker VMs weekly for 5,000+ companies, reaching ~$50M ARR in 2.5 years and 5x’ing revenue since early 2026. We manage thousands of bare-metal servers across multiple regions, schedule 100k+ concurrent vCPUs, and run a petabyte-scale Ceph cluster in-house. Backed by $58.5M from Seed to Series B (led by GV and Peak XV), we’re a small, exceptional team founded by engineers with deep systems experience from Faire, Cockroach Labs, and Google-scale search/ads infrastructure. Our GTM is led by Jon Boyer, former Head of Sales at Zapier. We’re now expanding our CI platform to power agent sandboxes and a background coding agent.
About the role
This is not a 0-to-1 exploration role. Our products already have strong traction; your mission is to make them enterprise-grade as we move upmarket from high-growth startups to large engineering organizations.
- Own the roadmap that makes Blacksmith enterprise-ready across our product lines (CI, sandboxes, and our coding agent). Act as a GM for our enterprise segment: drive outcomes across product lines and collaborate with the engineering teams that own the underlying systems.
- Define and drive our security, auditability, and compliance surface: audit logging, SIEM integrations, certifications, and trust documentation that clears enterprise security reviews.
- Shape our enterprise networking story: static egress identity, egress policy controls, private connectivity, and tenant isolation, partnering with the teams that operate our fleet.
- Own enterprise identity and administration: SSO, roles and permissions, org management, and least-privilege integration models.
- Build the programmatic surface enterprises expect: usage and cost APIs, cost attribution, and integrations into the observability and cost-management tools our customers already use.
- Join enterprise sales calls; translate procurement blockers, security questionnaires, and POC feedback into a prioritized roadmap.
- Own packaging and pricing for the enterprise tier alongside GTM.
Requirements
- Strong taste in what not to build. Blacksmith values simplicity and delight; you’ll fight product bloat while delivering real progress for our largest customers.
- Experience shipping enterprise capabilities at a growth-stage infrastructure or developer-tools company. You’ve personally navigated the SSO/RBAC/audit-log/security-review gauntlet and know what makes a buyer’s security team say yes.
- Experience maturing a post-PMF product, not just launching new ones. You’re drawn to “make the core product undeniable for the biggest customers” over greenfield exploration.
- Technical fluency to earn trust with infrastructure engineers and technical buyers. You understand CI/CD, cloud networking, and compute platforms, and can dive deep into how ours work.
- Experience selling to or working closely with enterprise buyers (VP Eng, Head of Platform, CISO) and familiarity with procurement cycles, security reviews, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- AI-native workflow: daily use of Claude/Cursor-style tools, comfort with MCP and CLI-based tooling, and a habit of automating manual PM tasks.
- Customer-first mindset; enjoy being the voice of the customer internally.
