Enterprise Microsoft Systems administrator

Role Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Microsoft infrastructure, including Azure cloud services, Microsoft 365, and on-premises systems.
• Manage and troubleshoot complex hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft services.
• Administer and optimize Microsoft Active Directory across multi-forest, multi-domain, and hybrid configurations.
• Implement and support Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) mailboxes, transport rules, compliance features, and coexistence scenarios.
• Develop, maintain, and automate infrastructure using PowerShell and/or Unix shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical Microsoft systems.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance, implement security best practices, and respond to incidents.
• Provide tier-3 support and mentor junior system administrators; participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Stay current with evolving Microsoft technologies and recommend upgrades, migrations, or optimizations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Azure cloud services.
• Microsoft certification preferred.
• 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Exchange Online (Microsoft 365).
• 10+ years of advanced enterprise-level production experience in hybrid and multi-org environments.
• Experience with Unix Shell Scripting or PowerShell Scripting.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience administering multi-forest hybrid AD environments.
