Enterprise Float Pool - Respiratory Therapist - FT Night

About the Role

The Certified Respiratory Therapist performs duties involved with the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system. Communicates with physicians and the respiratory team regarding patient progress in relation to the care plan. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy treatments, management, and diagnostic evaluations for patients with pulmonary deficiencies or abnormalities.
• Communicate with physicians and the respiratory team regarding patient progress and care plans.
• Assist and maneuver patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
• Occasional interfacility transport via ground transportation.
• Additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Active ASBRT LRT license required.
• Active NBRC CRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending on the assigned area.
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work within rigid time constraints.
• Strong reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Ability to push and pull equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Clear diction and hearing sensitivity for phone or in-person conversations.
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Position requires walking (33%), sitting (33%), and standing (33%) during the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.
• Some exposure to infectious diseases while performing job-related tasks.

Schedule

Full-time, third shift (night).
