Location

The Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Sets up and maintains audio-visual equipment to ensure support of classrooms and other AV enabled spaces. Provides audio-visual systems, related services and solutions such as AV systems for classrooms, instruction, learning, meeting, and event spaces and digital signage.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and supports the audio-visual infrastructure for all university spaces, ensuring their quality, stability, recoverability, and security
  • Maintains and monitors tickets, taking necessary actions in a timely manner
  • Detects and resolves issues and service tickets
  • Executes inventory processes accurately and promptly

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required Experience: Two (2) years of related audio-visual/IT experience
  • Other Required Qualifications: Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional Preferred Qualifications: Current and valid certification as Extron AV Associate, Avixa (Infocomm) certification, Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) or similar designation (or must obtain within one year)
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of several of the following: enterprise audio visual switching, routing, multiplexers, control systems, display devices, scalers, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, cameras, lighting controls, media players, ADA devices, power controllers, rack layout, related software, lecterns, and instructor workstations
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
  • Proficiency: Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
