Enrichment Instructor

Job Summary

Reporting to the Program Supervisor, Enrichment Instructors will provide high quality Enrichment classes focusing on various areas such as STEM and VAPA. They will lead clubs for an assigned class of approximately 15-20 students (K-12), ensuring a safe, fun, and dynamic learning environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Create an engaging environment fostering a sense of belonging among students
• Support students in making positive behavior choices and enforce necessary disciplinary actions
• Engage children and youth by following and implementing lesson plans
• Act as a positive role model through appropriate conduct, speech, and attitude
• Ensure student safety by assisting in setup, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the school or community site
• Participate in staff development activities
• Maintain accurate paperwork including sign-in/sign-out sheets for each class session
• Organize and manage student materials as directed by the Site Program Manager
• Communicate and collaborate with other after-school staff, classroom teachers, administrators, parents, and community members

Qualifications and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units required and/or pass an Instructional Aide Test
• Ability to speak and write Standard English appropriately in a public-school setting
• Minimum age of 22
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting) and TB Test
