English Teacher

Role DescriptionAIESEC in the Dominican Republic is looking for motivated international candidates to join a Global Teacher internship with Academia Europea in Santo Domingo. As an English Teacher Intern, you will deliver engaging English lessons to children, teenagers, and adults in a dynamic learning environment. You will prepare lesson plans, facilitate interactive classroom activities, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback to support language development. You will collaborate with local educators to ensure high-quality learning experiences while participating in cultural exchange activities that promote global understanding. This internship offers valuable international teaching experience in one of the Caribbean's most vibrant destinations. Key Responsibilities:Teach English to learners of different age groups and proficiency levels.Prepare and adapt lesson plans based on established curricula.Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback.Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.Collaborate with the local academic team to achieve learning objectives.Participate in educational and cultural activities organized by the institution. QualificationsProficiency in English (minimum B2; C1 or higher preferred).Intermediate Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to plan and deliver learner-centered lessons.Adaptability, cultural awareness, and teamwork in an international environment.Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or classroom experience is an advantage.Studies in Education, English, Languages, Linguistics, or related fields are preferred but not required.
