About the Role
The Engineering Technician supports the Transmission & Distribution group of engineers by providing technical drafting support and creating drawings in MicroStation and AutoCAD, as well as designs in PLS-CADD under close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Complete tasks within the Transmission & Distribution department designing and drafting projects.
- Work with strong attention to detail and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Embrace and apply evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software or similar 3D modeling software is a plus.
- Knowledge of PLS-CADD is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of GIS software is a plus.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution design and drafting would be beneficial.
- Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Must have permanent authorization to work in the US.

Pay
Target base compensation range for this role is $32.25/hr - $43.75/hr. Factors that may determine your actual salary include job-specific skills, education, training, job location, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role.
