Responsibilities

  • Support the NPI team primarily, with secondary support to the Production floor on an as-needed basis.
  • Perform various tasks as assigned by NPI Engineering Manager, or Value Stream Lead (VSL) when applicable.
  • Build pilot assemblies using written instructions or prints for projects from Engineering Manager.
  • Perform verification operations on pilot jobs.
  • Debug and offer ideas for assembly instructions, fixtures and testing.
  • Draft detail drawings or sketches to request parts/tooling fabrication by machine shop/maintenance or outside vendors.
  • Maintain lot traceability of assembly items, documents and procedures.
  • Generate engineering tests (ET’s) on jobs, with consultation from Engineering Manager.
  • Document yield and job rates on parts transitioning from pilot to production.
  • Offer training on pilot job operations to operators for production.
  • Assist with the transition from pilot to production.
  • Assist engineers to troubleshoot product yield problems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products or equivalents.

Physical Requirements

  • Required to talk or hear.
  • Required to pass eye tests.
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Required to use finger, handle, feel & reach with hands & arms.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range

$24 - $28/hr.
