About the Role

Manages all real property sustainment, restoration, modernization, and new construction projects for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Directorate (MWRD) at the garrison level.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares studies and analyses that justify projects as the most feasible alternatives to satisfy MWRD program needs.
  • Conducts economic analyses of alternatives for projects as directed; advises the NAF Support Chief on findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Develops functional project requirements through the preparation of project development brochures, drawings, and layouts to determine relative positions of components of intricate mechanisms.
  • Ascertains that all information needed for production is provided in accordance with appropriate design and drafting standards.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Working conditions: Standard office environment. Visits to construction sites involve exposure to various weather conditions, some noise, and dirt.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualified Criteria:
    • Knowledge of the organization, mission, policies, and 3 to 5 years governing project development, design, and execution is highly desirable.
    • Work experience managing construction projects.
    • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects effectively.

  • Highly Qualified Criteria:
    • Must possess 3 to 5 years governing project development, design, and execution.
