Engineering Technician I

About the role

The Engineering Technician I position involves performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. The role requires communication with various stakeholders including the project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors' representatives.

Responsibilities

• Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports.
• Communicate findings and results to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Adhere to safety standards and report any safety issues or concerns to management.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of relevant experience.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification

• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.

Required Certification

• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Related internal safety certifications upon successful completion.
