Engineering Technician I

About the role

The Engineering Technician I position at Terracon requires performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. The role involves communicating with various stakeholders including project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors about the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.

Responsibilities

• Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports.
• Communicate findings and results to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
• Undergo training and assume increasing responsibilities in work assignments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.
• Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successfully complete related internal safety certifications.
