About the role
The Engineering Technician I position at Terracon involves performing field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. This role requires communication with various stakeholders including the project manager, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor's representatives.
Responsibilities
- Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports.
- Communicate findings and results to the Project Manager.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
- Undergo training and assume increasing responsibilities based on performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 months of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history.
- Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Successfully complete related internal safety certifications.
