About the role
This is a promotional opportunity for current DOTD permanent classified employees only.
Job Duties and Other Information
- Deliver technical guidance, train staff in calculations and drawings, and audit their work for accuracy.
- Operate specialized desktop and online programs, including CADD, ProjectWise, CES, and Transport, to execute and track projects.
- Provide specific instructions to survey crews to ensure accurate field data collection for active design projects.
- Plan and conduct strategic meetings with external agencies and attend Plan-In-Hand reviews to resolve design conflicts.
- Complete continuous high-level technical training in critical disciplines like hydraulics, surveying, and computer-aided drafting.
- Support emergency/disaster response activities when needed.
Compensation
Annual Salary of $53,498.00 - $96,325.00. This position receives Premium Pay of an additional $1.00/hourly for every hour worked. Additional compensation may be considered impart with extraordinary qualifications in accordance with State Civil Service Rules and DOTD policy.
Appointment Type
Promotional. This position is open only to current permanent classified DOTD employees and may be filled by detail to special duty.
