About This Job
This position is a dedicated specialist within the Traffic Engineering Division, focusing on reviews, specifications, and project management related to Traffic Control projects. The Traffic Engineering Division ensures quality control and improvement of project plans and designs by reviewing all Department projects.
Job Duties
- Oversees the processing of all plan review requests to the Traffic Engineering Division.
- Responsible for informing a review requestor that the request has been received and the expected completion date.
- Collaborates in traffic engineering discussions related to reviews, requiring expertise in traffic engineering subjects.
- Oversees the development and updates of Traffic Engineering Standard Plans and Specifications in collaboration with the Assistant Traffic Engineering Division Administrator.
- Aids the Assistant Traffic Engineering Administrator and Traffic Engineering Program Manager in achieving divisional goals.
- Maintains the Traffic Engineering Website.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED plus four years of sub-professional engineering experience.
- Six months of experience in sub-professional engineering, heavy mobile equipment operation, or mobile equipment maintenance plus four years of sub-professional engineering experience.
- Twenty-four semester hours in one of the following specialized fields: architecture, cartography, construction management, construction technology, drafting, engineering, engineering technology, industrial technology, landscape architecture, math, or physics.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction management, or construction technology.
