Engineering Technician

About the role

The Durability Technician will participate in the development and implementation of the product test programs. They will work on testing any component of the AGCO products with design responsibility in Jackson, including planters, sprayers, tractors, and fertilizer spreaders. The Durability Technician will also contribute to the development of testing concepts, standards, facility improvements, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Working hands-on with test equipment
• Building and tearing down test fixtures
• Runing hydraulic hoses and electrical cables
• Bolting steel to T-slot plates
• Welding and steel fabrication
• Troubleshooting wiring harnesses and electrical connections
• Working hand in hand with the durability of test engineers to test components
• Working with design engineers, build technicians, suppliers, and the program team to develop a world-class product

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to operate equipment & machinery
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with steel welding and fabrication
• Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
• Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Pay

This position will pay within the range of $41k-$82k, based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on 8% of the compensation.

Schedule

You will work with your wonderful AGCO colleagues in the Onsite model from Round Lake, MN.
