About the role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This vacancy is an Engineering Technician position, GS-0802-07/08/09 with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District located at Little Rock, Arkansas. This position will be filled at either GS-07, GS-08 or GS-09 grade level.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Performing routine engineering tasks such as surveying, mapping, and grading.
- Assisting in the preparation of construction plans and specifications.
- Conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Preparing reports and maintaining records related to engineering projects.
Requirements
Requirements for this position include:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related field.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service that includes performing routine engineering tasks such as surveying, mapping, and grading.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service that includes performing routine engineering tasks such as surveying, mapping, and grading.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
