Job Description
Behind the scenes, attention to detail keeps everything running. This role supports resort operations through hands-on maintenance, preventive care, and project work—helping ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for guests and team members.
Duties
- Perform engineering projects, guest calls, preventative maintenance, and repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC systems, and household appliances.
- Maintain interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, flooring, and pools/spas.
- Operate and maintain resort equipment, tools, and software systems effectively and safely.
- Participate in procurement and inventory processes to ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Communicate professionally with guests and team members, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, identify potential hazards, and comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.
- Carry out regular inspections of resort facilities to identify and report maintenance needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment servicing.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards and new technologies.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs or interventions as needed.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new engineering team members.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years in Engineering/Maintenance operations in a resort or commercial environment.
- Must have and maintain valid Driver’s license.
- CPO license as required by Resort.
- High school diploma or general education degree GED.
- The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Follow instructions without close supervision.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.
