Engineering Supervisor - Systems Tech

About the role

The Digital Enterprise End to End Integration Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the integration of business systems at General Dynamics Electric Boat. This role focuses on improving the flow of data through digital threads, working within the critical function of digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tasking and coordinating efforts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with the end to end tool and process integration of business systems.
• Address problems with an enterprise view and tactical solutions to allow design, planning, and construction to proceed while pursuing long-term corrective actions.
• Interface with the Information Technology (IT) organization and impacted business areas to drive problems to resolution.
• Communicate issues and resolution plans clearly to management and supervise a small group of engineers and designers to address problems effectively.
• Grow knowledge in the organization by leading teams through complex decisions on future tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years experience in IT, PLM system, process improvement, and/or participation in design and engineering processes
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense

Skills

• Experience with CAD and/or product lifecycle management software
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to learn how multiple processes and tools fit together to accomplish design, build, delivery, and sustainment of submarines
• Ability to lead teams through complex decisions on future tools and processes
