Engineering Supervisor- Civil Renewables

About the role

Ulteig is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to join our Renewables Civil Department. The role involves leading and developing a team to support utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Lead civil engineering activities during the design and construction phases of multiple concurrent projects. Manage engineering scope, support change orders, and maintain project schedules. Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines. Ensure high standards of quality, responsiveness, and technical execution.
• Management: Provide leadership and technical guidance to help team members achieve individual, team, department, and organizational goals. Coach and support staff in career development. Plan workloads, collaborate on resource planning, and monitor performance.
• Business Development: Partner with the Sales team and engineers to support revenue growth and expand services. Develop proposal content, coordinate resources, and review submissions. Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent, required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain one within six months of hire, strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 6+ years of civil engineering experience, including at least 3+ years in utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Strong analytical skills, technical judgment, decision-making abilities, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in civil engineering software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot.

Pay

The target base compensation range for this role is $120,800-$163,500. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as job-specific skills, education, training, job location, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

Schedule

The position will remain open for a minimum of 3 days and an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position is cancelled.
