Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Supervise construction activities and confirm work meets approved plans, specifications, and contract requirements
Engineering Guidance: Apply engineering principles to review designs, recommend changes, and resolve technical challenges
Inspection Management: Direct inspection of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with established standards
Coordination Work: Collaborate with municipalities, utilities, contractors, and other groups to address project issues
Documentation Review: Prepare reports, work orders, estimates, and project records to track progress and compliance
Team Leadership: Plan, assign, and evaluate work of staff while supporting training and professional development
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists ; or One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering.
Special Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
