About the Role
Join our team as an Engineering Supervisor and become part of the Auberge Family. We are looking for a hands-on professional who is passionate about leading and developing an engineering team across both technical and operational areas. In this role, you will oversee projects from start to finish while ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all team members.
Responsibilities
- Guide team members in their roles and follow up with Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering (DOE) for any notable performance or corrective action.
- Demonstrate ENRICH values in all interactions with team members, guests, and vendors.
- Troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including HVAC&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs.
- Assume responsibilities of the DOE and Chief Engineer in their absence.
- Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system.
- Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner.
- Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school desired.
- Ability to operate all hotel systems and associated equipment.
- Familiarity with associated vendors and ability to identify replacement parts, materials, and necessary tools.
- Ability to take action and make decisions as directed by the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture, as well as follow directions on warning labels.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
- Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
- Experience with GSuite.
- Prior hospitality experience.
Pay
The starting range for this position is $36.00 per hour. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on experience and education.
