Engineering, Sr Manager
About the role
Provide overall management of the engineering function of accountability. As responsibility increases within the organization, hours of work may increase proportionally.
Responsibilities
- Manage the performance and development of assigned engineering personnel relative corporate objectives and provide focus on the attainment of high-quality engineering results
- Participate as key manager in Business Planning, Budget, and Business Performance review regarding site and Constellation Nuclear
- Fulfill managerial responsibilities regarding assigned staff (e.g., Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, etc.)
- Ensure consistent and effective workforce practices through assigned supervisors/functions
- Directly and through subordinates, fulfill engineering and technical leadership accountability regarding short-term and long-term programs that impact fleet operations
- Participate as senior resource to Nuclear-wide programs and initiatives regarding standardized and enhanced engineering systems and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science
- Active/Inactive Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license
- 10 years of overall related experience
- Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
- Supervisory or managerial experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Prior experience in a Nuclear Power or Mission Critical (Data Center) environment
- Large-Scale Power Integration experience, preferably leading behind-the-meter (BTM) or colocation projects that interface directly with generating assets
- Experience overseeing power flow and transient stability studies to ensure nuclear units remain protected and stable during sudden shifts in massive third-party loads
- Proven expertise overseeing power flow and transient stability studies to ensure nuclear units remain protected and stable during sudden shifts in massive third-party loads
- Experience using tools like SEL Synchrowave for diagnosing relay behavior and analyzing fault data for settings preparation
- Strong familiarity with SEL (Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories) relay logic and RTAC (Remote Terminal Unit Automation Controller) automation controllers
- Experience using event analysis tools like SEL Accelerator QuickSet

Pay
Expected salary range of $183,600 to $204,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
