Responsibilities
- Providing overall supervision to department to assure that technical, administrative, labor, and schedule targets of department are met within framework of established corporate policy and in accordance with applicable professional standards, design-control procedures, and corporate procedures and guidelines.
- Planning, organizing, and guiding extensive engineering programs and activities of outstanding novelty and importance.
- Collaborating with the commercial side of the business to prioritize work and allocate resources.
- Negotiating critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations.
- Assisting executives and/or directors in defining organizational goals and strategic plans.
- Developing guidelines, processes, and procedures for an assigned functional area.
- Managing resource allocation and planning for future needs.
- Serving as a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to their field of expertise.
- Interacting with sales personnel and customers and responding to their needs.
- Adapting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Resolving critical issues and contributing to organizational development.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 12+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of management experience
