About the role

Support impactful engineering and construction projects where your work helps deliver successful outcomes across the Southeast. At Thomas & Hutton, you’ll play a key role in coordinating project activities, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects stay on track.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and engineering teams in daily project activities
  • Maintain and organize project documentation including schedules, budgets, reports, and meeting minutes
  • Track project milestones and deliverables using tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Smartsheet
  • Cook up and organize meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external vendors
  • Monitor project risks and escalate issues as needed
  • Affirm compliance with company policies, procedures, and engineering standards
  • Aid in preparing technical and non-technical reports and documentation

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in an engineering or technical environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Smartsheet
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and prepare both technical and non-technical documents and reports
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience working with engineering teams or technical documentation preferred
  • Project coordination or project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMI-ACP) a plus

Qualifications

  • Frequently stationary with occasional movement through office or job site environments
  • Travel may be required, contingent upon the employee's primary work location relative to the geographic scope of project assignments
  • Estimated travel is approximately 10% and will be communicated in advance

Schedule

  • On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
