Engineering Mechanic III
The Engineering Mechanic III is an entry-level opportunity on our Facility Operations team. Here, you will ensure that MultiCare patients and families have the best possible experience when visiting facilities across our health system.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and major/minor repairs on facility equipment and systems
- Conduct daily operations and initiate corrective action
- Assist in training and mentorship of other staff
- Collaborate with supervisor in obtaining bids and inspections on externally run projects
- Partner with a service-oriented attitude and professional integrity
Requirements
- A high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- A certificate of licensure in one or more of the following areas preferred: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic tube system, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm initiating and suppression systems, med gas, beds, and nurse call
- Accomplished in six of the following basic areas: electrical, plumbing/mechanical, machine shop, general building maintenance, steam distribution, electronics, pneumatic tube system, AGVS, CPD equipment, fire alarm initiating and suppression systems, med gas, beds, and nurse call
- Minimum three (3) years maintenance experience
- Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $51.67 - $51.67 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
