Engineering Manager, Shared Services

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture a high-performing, engaged engineering team
• Lead the adoption of cutting-edge AI development tools
• Define and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for the Shared Services platform
• Mentor engineers to produce high-quality software in partnership with Staff engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product and Information Security
• Monitor and enhance the reliability and performance of shared services
• Facilitate the onboarding of engineering teams to shared capabilities, incorporating their feedback

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development and maintenance at scale
• Minimum of 3 years leading a technical engineering team in a dynamic environment
• Background in managing platform or shared-services teams that support other engineers
• Proven experience overseeing high-volume software services, focusing on customer satisfaction and performance monitoring
• Strong grasp of systems design, scalability, and software security best practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with AI coding agents in a team context
