Engineering Inspector

Essential Functions

• Inspects water, wastewater, drainage, road construction, site development, paving, sidewalks, and utilities construction projects to assure conformance with approved plans and specifications.
• Makes routine field tests of construction materials.
• Prepares and maintains related reports and records.
• Mets and confers with private engineers, developers, contractors, builders, etc. to review and advise on construction engineering plans.
• Interacts with and advises the general public concerning minor problems and complaints associated with public and private projects.

Performs other related work as required.
