Engineering (General) Entry
Position Description
The Entry-Level Engineer will support the development, integration, testing, and readiness activities for PEO C3T Tactical Network systems. This role involves direct participation in engineering processes, documentation, configuration management, and coordination efforts across multiple project and product management offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and document engineering, integration, and readiness processes and procedures for Tactical Network systems under PEO C3T.
- Prepare technical documentation and maintain configuration item baselines in accordance with established processes.
- Participate in and assist with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other technical forums at the PM TN, PEO C3T, and subordinate agency levels.
- Carefully coordinate with program, project, and product management offices to assess the effectiveness of engineering and integration processes.
- Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making minor adaptations as needed.
- Absorb and manage the management, maintenance, and automation of Configuration Management (CM) tools.
- Maintain version control and accountability of software deliverables.
- Oversee delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments.
- Analyze configuration issues, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
- Participate in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baselines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and tracking for all configuration-managed items.
Education Requirement
BS in Engineering, Testing, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
Substitution
A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted with 5 years of additional related experience performing Tactical Network engineering functions and experience with Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization.

- Familiarity with Army organizational structure and Unit Task Organization concepts.
- Ability to effectively communicate and lead or support Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
- Ability to work independently on portions of complex projects while contributing to team objectives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply engineering standards and adapt them to unique or evolving program needs.
