Job Summary

We Are Ideally situated along the picturesque Napa River, near vibrant Oxbow Public Marketplace, the Culinary Institute of America, and lively downtown Napa. River Terrace Inn is the ultimate Wine Country destination offering inviting rooms and suites with calming river views and warm fireplaces. The ALBA Bar & Cafe is open daily for breakfast and small bites in the evening at the Bar. We also have three private rooms for banquets and catered events.

About the Role

This position assists the Director of Engineering to keep all equipment in good repair with minimum downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotel's standard operating procedures. Continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Avoids equipment breakdowns by performing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel.
• Completes maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis.
• Supports the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments, and staff.
• Performs maintenance activities in guest rooms such as plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners/HVAC, and AC ducts.
• Maintains confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.
• Ensures security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Maintains general tools and equipment knowledge.
• Reads and understands test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
• Communicates effectively.
• Works independently.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, hotel preferred, but not required.

$22 per hour plus tips.
