The Engineering Construction Project Controls Professional will support accounting functions, reporting, invoicing support, travel coordination, and administrative tasks for various projects in the South Division.

Responsibilities

  • Aids in accurate record keeping and expense documentation for project activities to facilitate timely invoicing based on project manager or project controls direction.
  • Ensures invoices are prepared promptly with a detailed breakdown of services.
  • Supports the project team in document management, including the logical creation of additional folder structures, usage, and document filing across all project areas.
  • Assists the Project Controls Associate as needed.
  • Collaborates with Project and/or Program Managers to execute project controls and coordination processes and systems on large-scale delivery projects.
  • Assists Project Managers in contract management, invoicing, document control, and collections.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in finance, business, project management, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • 3 - 6 years of related experience in project planning, cost control, and using Microsoft Excel.
  • 1+ year of finance, accounting, or construction management experience.
  • Strong team collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced analytical, evaluative, and constructive thinking abilities.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of project controls principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and invoicing.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of project management tools and software.
