Engineering Cell Technician
Responsibilities
- Assemble fuel cell components and sub-assemblies according to engineering documentation, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Perform cell fabrication processes such as coating, stacking, loading, sealing, and alignment.
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and test stations.
- Conduct functional testing, inspection, and data collection for fuel cells and related components.
- Record production and test data accurately in manufacturing execution systems (MES) or batch travelers.
- Identify process issues, defects, and equipment malfunctions; assist with root-cause analysis.
- Support continuous improvement, yield improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with EHS standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and operations teams to support production goals.
Requirements
- Proficiency in testing, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
- Associate's degree in a technical field.
- 2+ years of working experience in manufacturing, electronics, systems, or lab production environments.
- Experience with calipers, multimeters, gauges, and working with fuel cells, batteries, ceramics, or high-temperature systems.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cleanroom, lab, or pilot production environments.
- Experience with process scale-up or early manufacturing operations.
- Basic understanding of quality systems such as ISO, SPC, and root-cause analysis.
About the Role
The position is based in a manufacturing and laboratory production setting, with exposure to industrial equipment and high-temperature testing environments. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required as needed. The role may require occasional overtime during production ramps.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47,840.00 - $47,840.00/yr. Benefits include full coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation, FSA/HSA accounts, employee stock option plan (equity upside), and paid time off (PTO + paid holidays).
Work Environment
The position is a fully onsite position in Mount Pleasant, PA.
