Engineering Technician, Cell Engineering

What You'll Do

• Perform hands-on tasks such as powder mixing, operation of hot machinery, powder characterization and optimization, electrode fabrication, and data analysis.
• Operate and maintain electrode processing tooling and lab equipment.
• Work closely with engineers to execute experiments as instructed.
• Record electrode processing information tracking sheets.
• Handle air-sensitive and hazardous materials in a glove box, dry room, or fume hood.
• Prepare samples for characterization (SEM, titration, XRD, PSD, and more).
• Help keep the lab safe and efficient.
• Report any issues related to processes and assist in problem solving.

  What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years experience working in a technical position in the battery field with experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Experience battery electrode processing and fabrication.
  • Above average manual dexterity and visual acuity in order to perform careful electrode processes, optimization and characterization.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office.
  • Ability and passion to perform hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to stand and work around high temperature tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Hands-on lithium ion cell fabrication and testing preferred.

      Pay

      • Engineering Tech I - $21.96 - $32.94/hour.
      • Engineering Tech II - $25.92 - $38.88/hour.
      • Engineering Tech III - $30.24 - $45.36/hour.
      • + cash and stock awards.
