About the Role

Analyzes, researches, and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic, or composite structural materials for product design or operation of products, including structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment, and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue, and thermal analysis. Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, and a variety of software applications.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, excellent analytical skills, the ability to work with professionals from different disciplines, and field experience on construction sites working as an owner representative or for a general contractor. This position will support facilities in the new construction project management team, managing the design and construction of structural and civil work/systems associated with utility infrastructure, buildings, and other industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities may include reviewing drawings, supervising construction projects, ensuring compliance with legal and environmental regulations, supervising detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects. This position coordinates with consultants, contractors, and local enforcement agencies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience, or
  • Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience, or
  • Ph.D. and 0 years of experience

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $99,000.00 to $122,000.00. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
