Engineer Lead (Dynamics 365) - Remote

The Veterans Affairs business unit helps transform the VA into a modern digital services organization where Veteran outcomes are at the center of every effort. We partner with the VA to design and deliver seamless user experiences for Veterans, their families and caregivers, and VA employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of program scope, schedule, and cost management; with the support of leadership, articulate contractual delivery requirements to team members.
- Provide coaching and development to engineering team members, and work with leadership to define growth goals and development plans, fostering a culture where people can learn and evolve.
- Serve as a mentor, supporting one or two teams' Engineers in technical direction and career management.
- Lead team processes and seek out best practices to fill gaps.
- Develop collaboration skills to partner with key stakeholders, advocating for the best technical solutions while communicating tradeoffs.
- Develop effective written communication and presentation skills to describe systems, design decisions, and past performance.
- Participate in bid-writing, tech demos, strategic planning, and other client-facing communications.
- Present the program's ongoing engineering work, future goals, and risks.
- Develop influential skills to translate and communicate technical challenges and roadmaps.
- Participate in interviews with new candidates and develop/grade homework.
- Responsible for hiring, performance management, timecard reviews, PTO management, and team development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years of experience (relevant years of experience may be substituted for education).
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Expertise in D365 CE Development including custom plugins, JavaScript, custom tables/entities, and low code/no code.
- Experience with RESTful APIs.
- 2+ years of mentoring and coaching experience; experience with communicating and leading tasking efforts to support delivery.
- Extensive experience with software development, customer interactions, formal and informal communication, and mentorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- General understanding of government contracting requirements and regulations.
- Experience with Copilot development.
- Experience working with Veteran's Affairs.

Pay
The starting range for this role is $140,000–$155,000. Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and responsibility.
