Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project leadership and cross-functional teams to support project planning and execution
  • Manage and coordinate activities of external consultants and project partners
  • Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, including community engagement efforts as needed
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and task delegation to junior staff members
  • Oversee preparation of design deliverables, including drawings, technical calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and estimate level of effort for project tasks
  • Apply relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices to project work
  • Cookordination with client representatives and internal teams to maintain alignment and progress
  • Support clear communication and efficient workflow throughout all project phases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Extensive professional experience in engineering or infrastructure projects (typically 10+ years)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or similar credential preferred
  • Experience with industry-standard design software (e.g., CAD-based tools or comparable platforms)
  • Familiarity with transportation or infrastructure standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and engineering principles
  • Prowen ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with common business software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email platforms)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

Pay

Competitive salary range of $130,000 - $160,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, fully remote and flexible work environment (remote candidates must be local to Chicago)
