About the role

This position is on the Digital Product Development team, responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting critical applications and systems. The role focuses on delivering scalable software solutions, improving product functionality, and maintaining application reliability through continuous improvement and production support.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement scalable Java-based applications and services
  • Partner with product teams, business stakeholders, and engineers to translate requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Contribute to system design, application architecture, and technology decisions that support long-term product strategy
  • Mentor developers on technical design, coding standards, and engineering best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and solution discussions to ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability
  • Support production stability through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
  • Identify opportunities to enhance application performance, modernize technology, and drive continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the adoption and integration of AI-enabled capabilities, automation, and data-driven solutions where appropriate

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Java software development and enterprise application engineering
  • Expertise in Java web application development
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, system integration, and software development lifecycle practices
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Oracle

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Kubernetes, microservices, and modern Java frameworks
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, application monitoring, and production support
  • Experience with Databricks, AI/ML technologies, or intelligent automation solutions
