Job Description Support resort operations by performing maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. As an Engineering Technician III, you will: Perform and lead engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort managementConduct routine inspections to ensure safe and proper operation of MEP systems following resort guidelinesPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement of HVAC and mechanical componentsDiagnose plumbing fixtures, handle clogs, and conduct repairs and equipment replacementsExpertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components, such as breakers and contactorsRepair and troubleshoot appliances and household fixturesInstall, repair, and replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as neededLead small construction projects, including drywall, carpentry, concrete, and flooringWork with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and maintenance of all MEP equipmentParticipate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for workProficient in operating resort operations software and devices (HotSOS and other applicable systems)Read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and OEM manualsCommunicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactionsPerform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort managementSafely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools needed for the jobWork using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)Lead and implement safety practices and guidelinesRecognize and identify potential safety hazards on the propertyCommunicate and interpret guest needs with positive interactions to reach resolutionsAdhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and proceduresAlways represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behaviorPerform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadershipTo excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environmentWritten and verbal communication in English is expectedMust be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf cartsStrong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleaguesAbility to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlinesMust be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditionsRequired to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States Additional Information Why Westgate?
