Engineer III or IV Public Works

About the role

The Public Works Department seeks motivated professionals to join their engineering and project management team. Positions available include Engineer III and IV, based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops plans, specifications, and estimates
• Conducts legal and technical research

Qualifications

• Engineer III: Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical engineering, architecture, or a closely related field and 4 years progressively more responsible civil, traffic, or mechanical engineering experience. Registration as Professional Engineer in WA State desirable.
• Engineer IV: Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical engineering, architecture, or a closely related field and 7 years progressively more responsible civil, traffic, or mechanical engineering experience. Registration as Professional Engineer in WA State, or registered as a Professional Engineer in another state with the ability to obtain WA State registration within six months required.

Pay

• Engineer III: $42.46/hr - $50.74/hr, Depends on Experience
• Engineer IV: $44.58/hr - $53.26/hr, Depends on Experience
