About the role
The Engineer III is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the resort, with a primary focus on pool, spa, and fountain operations. This role supports the Engineering team in maintaining building systems, responding to guest service requests, and ensuring all equipment and facilities are operating at peak performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on pool, spa, and fountain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels in pools, spas, and water features, conducting required testing and inspections
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas
- Aid with the maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, fire & life safety, and mechanical systems
- Respond to emergency situations, including equipment failures, water contamination, chemical imbalances, leaks, and other operational issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of engineering storage areas, pump rooms, and chemical storage locations
- Support installation, relocation, and maintenance of resort equipment and building systems
- Aid with renovation projects and equipment upgrades as needed
- Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives throughout the property
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely when required
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to support resort operations
- Comply with Four Seasons standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in hospitality engineering, building maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 12 months of hire
- Ability to operate computer systems and maintenance-related equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on experience and professional certifications
- Desire to grow within the Engineering department and advance into future Engineering roles
